As an advocate of CBD infused skin care products, I’ve been tinkering with various creams, salves, oils, and rubs that are designed to relieve pain. Today, I’m happy to share with you what I feel is the best cbd cream for pain relief.
What is the Best Pain Reliever With CBD?
Before I share with you the product specs, let me first tell you that I’m in great physical shape and I’m very active with my fitness regimen. While I could eat cleaner, I consider myself a very healthy eater, and if it wasn’t for portion control, well, I’d probably be bodybuilding. Be that as it may, I make my rounds through spin classes, boot camps, even Orange Theory Fitness. Group training is the best kind of training for me because I’m a people person and I need to get away from the computer whenever possible!
As I creep into the back nine of life, I’ve found that my body just can’t take the abuse like it used to. Aches and pains are common in my joints, and finding relief through pills just isn’t something I’m going to get into. I rarely take Advil, nor do I experience the highs some people get when prescribed something harder. In the past, I’ve always “toughed out” muscle soreness.
As 2018 was sort of the year Cannabis became much more mainstream, at least as far as the Internet goes, I saw many brands evolving that were selling products to alleviate pain. As I was doing my homework, I stumbled into a company based in Miami that was known for their advanced anti aging treatments. I struck up a conversation with their marketing department, and was really intrigued as to what they were doing. Offered some samples for review, I was stoked to find out that they were going full force into the Cannabis skin care market. Imagine, a company with almost ten years of experience in the anti aging market using all their talents to come into the market with their knowledge and adding CBD to their product lines!
The first sample I got was the hemp eye cream. (What a kick ass cream that was, my review is here.)
The second one, which sat on my shelf for quite some time as I had no use for it, was the CBD Pain Relief Cream. Made of Pure CBD extract, this also contains menthol, making it very pleasant aromatically when applied topically to the skin.
Ultimately, I tweaked my shoulder going a little hard on the military presses one day. This was my time to give this product a shot.
Applying the product liberally to the affected area, I first noticed it had a very pleasant aroma. It was almost like a Ben Gay or Icy Hot smell, but without all the annoyingness of having that scent linger around all day. I was instantly a fan as the product rapidly absorbed into my shoulder, gradually reducing pain to the point where I could barely remember that I suffered an injury.
What’s Inside the Skin Pro Pain Reliever with CBD?
Starting with full spectrum CBD, this product has phytonutrients that aim to relax occasional tension by targeting the cannabinoid receptor system.
Next, you’ll find Menthol in the ingredient deck. Yes, menthol. It’s actually the part of the product that gives off the warming and cooling sensations.
You’ll also find Arnica Extract, which is well known for it’s ability to reduce bruising (this is used in many Med Spa’s that do invasive anti aging treatments) while having natural anti-inflammatory properties.
There’s also their own blend of chamomile, peppermint oil, aloe vera, lavender oil, and castor oil which work together to maximize effectiveness.
Benefits of This CBD Cream
- Deeply penetrates deep bruises and muscle soreness
- Pleasant aroma – it’s almost like a peppermint
- Instantly soothes and relaxes affected area
One term you’ll hear used a lot in these products is “Full Spectrum.” Since CBD is the non-psychoactive compound that comes from the hemp plant, you’ll enjoy more powerful effects that last longer when compared to a CBD isolate. This is what scientists say is the combination of natural cannabinoids and terpenes working cohesively.
How to Apply the Product
Simply rub into the affected area multiple times daily.
While you’ll hear people say they use a “CBD soothing rub,” or a “CBD calming cream,” you’ll do yourself a favor by ignoring all the noise and getting this exact product. It’s one I don’t leave behind whenever I’m down for a grueling workout.
