Judge Upholds Walmart’s Firing Of Medical Marijuana Patient

Many of you have been following the story of Joseph Casias, the Michigan Walmart employee with an inoperable brain tumor who was fired by the store he worked at for his use of medical marijuana. A former employee of the year, Joseph failed a drug test after he injured himself at work, and was fired by the retail giant – Walmart later made a point of upholding his firing. Now a judge has agreed with Walmart, saying Michigan’s medical marijuana law protects users only from arrest, not termination of employment.
