I’m not much for stocking stuffers, but stuffing my bowl with a frosty nug is a different Christmas story altogether. And folks 21 and over residing in Washington, D.C. will have the option to legally stuff their bowls or stockings this year thanks to voters deciding to pass Initiative 71, which took effect in February.

Although D.C.’s new pot law doesn’t permit the buying, selling or public consumption of cannabis, it does permit individuals to cultivate six plants and gift some of their harvest to friends of legal age.

The gifting aspect of Initiative 71 could possibly result in several friends of those that grow receiving The 420 Times’ favorite Christmas present of all: weed.

Especially when you take into consideration that there are reportedly somewhere in the neighborhood of 500 residents cultivating cannabis in the D.C. area.

According to Adam Eidinger, initiative organizer, cannabis activist, and owner of Capitol Hemp, the new pot law is indeed making this the most wonderful time of the year.

Here’s what Eidinger told Fox News 5:

It’s a lovely holiday season because you can give cannabis to your friends in Washington DC. Giving cannabis has become like the latest, ‘Hey, I baked a pie. I grew this. Would you like it?’ And it is a very special gift.

Weed couldn’t agree more 😉

Hashy Holidaze and thank you for your ongoing dedication to our website and magazine 🙂
