A new study suggests that weed could be bad for your man-seed.

Researchers at the University of Copenhagen looked at the sperm counts of 1,215 men aged 18 to 28. About 45 percent of those men used marijuana in the last three months.

The pot users had an average 29 percent fewer sperm compared to non-users, the study found. Those who had also used other recreational drugs saw as high as a 55 percent drop in sperm count.

Don’t let this get you, uh, down just yet, however.

The researchers noted that cannabis users were also more likely to drink alcohol, smoke tobacco and consume caffeine, other substances that could be linked to lower sperm counts.

“We cannot exclude the possibility that the men who used marijuana generally have an unhealthier lifestyle and health behavior, which may also affect their semen quality and hormone levels,” the study concluded.
