A trend is emerging in the treatment of cancer in dogs: medical marijuana.

While cannabis is non-toxic for humans, it can be deadly for dogs in excessive amounts. So dosage becomes a problem, especially since the federal government’s stance on cannabis prevents studies for medical marijuana and canines.

Should dogs suffer in pain because their owners are too scared to give them cannabis? Or should the federal government back off and allow full-scale research into this amazing plant?
