The Battle Over Amendment 64 In Colorado Heats Up

Election day creeps closer and the battle over Amendment 64 in Colorado is heating up. Supporters of the measure that would legalize and regulate marijuana in a manner similar to alcohol have a lot of money backing them, and a ton of advertising.
But you can be sure opponents will be fighting hard, with their assertions that Amendment 64 sends the wrong message to kids. But what message can be worse than the lie that marijuana is just as harmful as alcohol tobacco or hard drugs? Isn’t lying to kids sending a bad message in general?
And why should all that money go to drug dealers when it can be building schools? Less money in drug dealing means less violence, which is good for kids. And more schools are good for kids, right? If you’re worried about teens using marijuana then focus your attention on educating them in your way, but how drug dealers making massive profits off of marijuana when that money should be going to schools and other areas is helping kids is beyond me.
