Who Is Bankrolling The Opposition To Amendment 64 In Colorado?

We have done multiple stories here at The 420 Times on Amendment 64 in Colorado. Voters in the state will decide this November on the measure that would legalize and regulate marijuana in a manner similar to alcohol.
But who is opposing Amendment 64? It turns out that the vast majority of the money opposing the measure comes from two people; a married couple who own a rehab facility and have a very shady and very Republican background.
Save Our Society from Drugs, a Florida-based nonprofit founded by Mel and Betty Sembler, has given Smart Colorado – the group opposing Amendment 64 – contributions totaling $151,497 through September. That’s 95 percent of the money raised by the group so far.
