Ryan: Don’t Interfere With Legalized Medical Pot

220px Paul Ryan official portrait Ryan: Dont Interfere With Legalized Medical PotDENVER (AP) — Republican vice presidential nominee Paul Ryan says the federal government shouldn’t interfere with states that have legalized medical marijuana.

The Wisconsin congressman tells KRDO-TV in Colorado Springs that he personally doesn’t approve of medical marijuana laws. But he says that states should have the right to choose whether to legalize the drug for medical purposes.

In response to a reporter’s question, Ryan said: “It’s up to Coloradans to decide.”

The interview was taped while Ryan campaigned this week in Colorado Springs and aired Friday.

Colorado is one of 17 states, plus the District of Columbia, that allow medical marijuana.

The Obama administration at first signaled that it wouldn’t interfere with state-sanctioned marijuana distribution. But the Justice Department has since angered marijuana activists by shutting down dispensaries in California and Colorado.

Paul Ryan Talks Medical Marijuana Legalization: ‘Let the States Decide’…Hell ya. Obama has lied to the cannabis community and done it more damage than 2 Bush’s and a Clinton. Mr. Ryan, not only will you get my vote, you will get a donation from both myself and my chapter.

I wish that President Obama would get real about cannabis, study the facts (instead of just mimicking the party line), and be brave enough to defend the reality that it should be decriminalized. Folks, Romney has been against using medical marijuana, and he is the one that would President if these people won, not Ryan. As far as Ryan making his statement favoring decriminalization in states where it already is, I strongly believe that Ryan and Romney are simply playing good cop/bad cop with the MMJ community (in an effort to get THE YOUTH VOTE, in which the Republicans are lagging severely). Wake up. These two republican jokers have NEVER been happy with letting people make decisions about their own bodies, especially when it comes to us women. The drug war was started by the Republicans. Just sayin.’
Whether or not we agree with each other on these jokers, we must all stay united, and keep fighting to get cannabis legalized!

Mitt Romney openly has no support for medical marijuana. You think just because Ryan SAYS he’s for it, anything will change? Guess who else said he was for it? Obama.

You know who has a proven record and WILL support medical marijuana? Gary Johnson. Don’t be fooled by the two party system and the illusion of choice.
