Colorado’s Amendment 64 Still Leading In New Poll

According to a new poll out of Colorado on Amendment 64 – a ballot measure to legalize and regulate marijuana in a manner similar to alcohol – the measure is still leading in the polls as the election season heats up and attacks come from every angle.
A new Public Policy Polling survey of 1,001 likely voters in CO shows 47% approve of Amendment 64, with 38% opposed. Fifteen percent described themselves as undecided.
These numbers are similar to a poll taken last month on marijuana legalization, which 49% approved of with 43% opposed.
It will be a tough battle over the next two months, but Amendment 64 has cash behind it and the momentum behind legalization in general. It looks like the best chance yet to enact a large marijuana law reform measure in a state.
But that depends on how effective advocates in Colorado are in getting the word out and getting the vote out.
