Reader Poll Results: Who Would You Vote For In 3-Way Presidential Race?

Last week we posted a poll to gauge our readers feelings on the Presidential candidates at this point in the race. We’ll do this a couple more times before November to keep a finger on the pulse of the cannabis community.

Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson came in first, not surprisingly, getting 57% of the vote. It will be interesting to see if his popularity grows among the cannabis community as the months progress, or whether President Obama is successful in bringing people back to his camp.

420times 000006354025XSmall 150x150 Reader Poll Results: Who Would You Vote For In 3 Way Presidential Race? The “other” line came in second with 18%, presumably most of those favoring Ron Paul no matter what. President Obama came in slightly behind that with 15% and Romney brings up the caboose with 10%. So among our readers at least, Obama is ahead of Romney.

Will Gary Johnson be able to build on the solid base he has? Or will Obama regain the support he had among the marijuana community in 2008? Time will tell.

I think Gary Johnson/Ron Paul would make an awsome team. Gary is youthful, knowledgeable, and compassionate, Ron has experience and wisdom of years under his belt. Both are progressive thinkers and I’m not surprised to see that they are ahead in your poll. Now if all those participating in the poll will VOTE maybe we can make a difference this time around.
Obviously Obama has done nothing to better this country, all he has done is increase the debt and force poor people to buy insurance they can’t afford. As well as going back on his campaign promises. And if Romney gets in there I shudder to think what kind of mess he will create and leave behind in 4 years. He is for big business and only big business and f*&k the little guy. He doesn’t realize the little guy was the back bone that built this country and to trample on us by catering to big business is like a slap in the face.
It is a shame that money and greed rule this once great land of ours.
Gary Johnson/Ron Paul 2012!! get out and vote!! don’t be afraid to vote independent. I know alot give that a second thought, thinking that there aren’t enough of us to make a difference but if we all voted our heart, instead of the hum drum usual dems and repubs, this country would see a great turn around. I suspect that a great many independents end up voting for those they really don’t like (dems and repubs) because they feel their independent vote won’t be enough to count, but if we all vote independent and encourage others to do so we just may make a difference. Lets try it this time around.

I was planning a write-in vote of Ted Nugent. I’m still considering it. The 2 party system of government has been a washout for a very long time. The people that should win the elections should be REAL people, not lawyers and politicians. Ask any mother of 4 that; A: has a job/career, B: has a partner/husband, C: has grown up in a fairly average home, D: pulls her own weight and pays her own way, what the possible answers are to a lot of our nations woes. If she has any common sense she’ll give you realistic answers to actual problems. Ask a farmer that has worked 30+ yrs at his craft and he will give you real answers to real problems. I’m not saying that “Joe the Plummer” is the answer because he was a tool of the government just like any other politician. Give REAL PEOPLE a chance to run our country and it will get stronger by the day. I’d rather have an American farmer, mother of 4, soldier or Judge Roy Bean run my nation than ANY politician.
