The RAND Corporation presented its latest report, “Should Marijuana Be Legalized?” to congressional staffers in Washington, DC. recently. The presenter discusses the price drop that would come from legalization, something that would obviously do great harm to drug gangs and cartels.

It will also do harm to marijuana growers, and this will be an unfortunate side effect of legalization. Price drops will cause many growers to leave the business, leaving only the most efficient; the ones who can keep their costs the lowest.

But the profits currently made by growers is not due to market conditions, but on the false market of prohibition. The market will be corrected after freedom is restored to adults all over the country.
