Will Congress Bring Contempt Charges Against DEA Administrator?

Less than two weeks ago a House committee voted to bring contempt charges against U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder for his testimony over the “Fast & Furious” gun-running scandal. Marijuana advocates are openly wondering if they plan on doing the same to DEA head Michele Leonhart after her disastrous testimony that took place the same day as Holder’s contempt vote.

“My question is this,” said MPP’s Dan Riffle, “if it’s contempt for Holder to stonewall a congressional committee, shouldn’t Michele Leonhart be held in contempt for her performance…?”

You can contact Congressman Jared Polis (D-CO) here and Steve Cohen (D-TN) here. They are the two biggest marijuana law reform supporters on the committee and the two who blasted the DEA head the most during her testimony. Tell them how you feel about the head of the DEA and her testimony.
