House Committee Votes To Hold AG Eric Holder In Contempt

A United States House Committee has voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress for his testimony about the “Fast and Furious” gun-running scandal that sent guns into Mexico and into the hands of drug cartels.
While Eric Holder is undoubtedly a liar, it’s a shame that this very important issue has become a political football for Republicans and Democrats to kick around in an election year.
An unknown amount of guns was sent – on purpose – by our government to Mexican drug lords in some grandiose plans to track the guns. All it did was arm the cartels better so that they can kill more innocent people.
At the heart of the failed program is The War on Drugs itself. Our government will do just about anything but that which will actually give them some control over illicit drugs, namely legalization.
But that will be lost in the petty bickering between two parties that prop up failed policies. That’s the way things go in a Presidential election year.
And the failed policies will continue long after Eric Holder is run out of town for his incompetence.
