Do You Know Your Local Marijuana Laws?

While it’s true that marijuana possession, cultivation, distribution and use are illegal under federal law, most people will never see a DEA agent. You are likely to have run-ins with state and local law enforcement at least a few times in your life however, and if you’re a cannabis user, this could mean dire consequences.
The oldest marijuana law reform organization in the U.S. – NORML – has made it one of their missions to keep track of cannabis laws across the country. And they have now enhanced their database even more with the addition of more sections, including a “drugged driving” section.
It’s imperative that you know what you are risking legally with cannabis. It may not affect many of your decisions, but’s it’s good to know what you’re up against.
And in some cases penalties may be so severe that you may want to rethink whether or not what you are doing is worth it.
