In the video below Gil Kerlikowske tries to explain his support of marijuana prohibition by citing all the people that die from legal prescription drugs. His point is why should we add another legal drug to the mix?

This answer alone shows his complete lack of a grasp on this issue. Not only is it impossible to overdose on marijuana, but cannabis is used by many as an alternative medicine to those deadly drugs by millions in this country everyday, improving their health and extending their life.

This man has immense power yet is not expected to show his competence or intelligence for any reason to keep his job. Shouldn’t those with ultimate power over marijuana be forced to prove they are an expert on it instead of an old dis-proven propaganda parrot?
