Rapper Wiz Khalifa was busted for misdemeanor marijuana possession Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee at a Holiday Inn after his neighbors complained about the strong smell of marijuana.

Wiz and a friend were charged with possession and have to show up to court by May 14th for booking on the charges. Reports say that Wiz tossed a blunt or joint out the window and denied having marijuana – before finally admitting the obvious. He is Wiz Khalifa after all.

It seems he would have been a little smarter about the smell. If he at first denied the weed that means he cared somewhat about getting caught, even enough to at least avoid the hassle. The above-linked story doesn’t say on what floor this took place, but just simply blowing smoke out of any window 2nd story and above should have taken care of a majority of the odor.

But in the end it’s all just a waste of taxpayer money and it certainly won’t hurt Wiz’s career; it would be an understatement to say he has been very open about his love for Mary Jane.
