Oklahoma House Passes Bill To Drug Test Elected Officials

A bill in Oklahoma that would require politicians to pass a drug test as well as welfare recipients passed the House overwhelmingly, and now heads to the State Senate.
It seems logical enough that if politicians want to drug test those who get government assistance, they should get the same treatment, something our readers agreed with in a recent poll. Some will say that “two wrongs don’t make a right” and both instances are a violation of privacy. But the world is not perfect, and at least elected officials in this case would have to follow the same rules for their government checks.
