Interestingly enough, the extremist I’m referring to in the video below is not Dr. Drew, but one of his guests, Dr. Stuart Gitlow. So many things jump out at you when listening to Dr. Gitlow. First, the oddity of his last name and his feelings about marijuana.

Much more serious, however, is the fact that this man is a licensed doctor and goes on national TV and says that marijuana has no proven medicinal value. This is like a doctor going on TV and saying cigarettes won’t kill you. It’s an incredibly extreme position (also held by the DEA) and makes this “doctor” no better than the quacks who kill their patients. Whatever employment he holds should be immediately terminated and his license to practice medicine burned in a public display on the campus of whatever school was incompetent enough to give him his medical degree. Oh, and burn the degree too.

Of course Dr. Drew agrees with this lunatic, but does his best to remain a neutral host, lest he look like he’s ganging up on these desperate parents holding their son, who is now in remission from his cancer. But even he can’t resist taking shots at the mother.

What more can be said about this man, Dr. Stuart Gitlow? Saying he is stupid lets him off the hook. He’s an obviously intelligent man who is saying what he is because he is paid to do so. That makes him the worst kind of evil, the kind that is fully aware.
