White House Petition Asking For Resignation Of Drug Czar Gil Kerlikowske

After Drug Czar Gil Kerlikowske’s cookie-cutter response to several cannabis petitions on The White House Website – capping off a pattern of ignorance and hostility toward marijuana that the Drug Czar has shown since day one of his reign – a petition calling for The Obama Administration to demand Gil Kerlikowske’s resignation has popped up on the site.

While we know that the Drug Czar’s response had the full approval of The White House – it’s their website after all – and no matter how many signatures this petition gets the resignation will never happen, it will still be fun to see how many people we can get to publicly disapprove of his job performance.

Not only does Gil Kerlikowske need to go, the entire useless Drug Czar’s office should be dismantled. Good for nothing but wasting money and attacking adult cannabis users, The Drug Czar’s office is an expense we just can’t afford in our current budgetary crisis.

The buck stops with the President.

Time to petition his resignation and actively campaign against a second term.

    Don’t get fooled again!

I think this a great idea and I’ve signed it, but it doesn’t go far enough. What we need to do is eliminate the Office of National Drug Control Policy(ONDCP). It doesn’t matter who the drug czar is if the legislation that creates the office requires the office holder to lie to us.
