Below is a video of a professor who teaches in the Central American country of Guatemala. He says his country has everything it needs to be beautiful and prosperous, but instead it is gripped by drug war violence that kills over 5,000 people a year.
The global War on Drugs has created a vast network of cartels in Central and South America as inflated prices of black market drugs flood the kingpins with cash they use to produce violence against competitors, law enforcement and anyone else who gets in their way or is in the wrong place at the wrong time.
