Ron Paul Wins Both Tallies At New GOP Iowa Straw Poll

Continuing his recent straw poll momentum, Republican Congressman Ron Paul (TX) has won both tallies of the National Federation of Republican Assemblies Presidential Straw Poll in Iowa.
The straw poll was held on Saturday during the NFRA’s convention in Des Moines. Two vote tallies were taken, one of Iowa voters and one on non-Iowans. Ron Paul won the Iowa voter poll with a whopping 82% of the vote, while in the non-Iowans tally he barely edged out Herman Cain 26% to 25%.
Of course this makes it difficult for others in The Republican Party and those in the mainstream press to discount Dr. Paul as a contender. And the last thing the Republican establishment wants is for Ron Paul to outshine their chosen one – Mitt Romney.
But with the alternative press and the power of the internet, it’s no longer up to the GOP establishment who gets the nomination. Those who seek a new path and feel things like marijuana legalization deserve more than the dismissal they receive from our current, “progressive” President will decide who faces Obama in 2012.
Actual change is coming. The momentum grows stronger everyday.
