PBS Documentary Explores Benefits Of Medical Marijuana Old Hippie August 25, 2011 Activism, Best Of The Best, Exclusive Web Content, Medical Marijuana News A new 10-minute video report from PBS Newshour brings together an epilepsy patient, scientists from places like UCSD Medical Center in San Diego, and even a “drug warrior” who seems to believe in the FDA as an infallible deity of some sort. “Clearing The Smoke: The Benefits and Limits of Medical Marijuana” is a great, non-biased overview of the research into medical marijuana and the kinds of things it can do to help people. Thanks also goes to NORML for publicizing this in the MMJ community. Here’s some of what they had to say: Want to know how cannabinoids selectively target and kill cancer cells? Watch this video. Want to know how many patents Big Pharma has taken out on cannabis-derived synthetic drugs? Watch this video. And then share it with your friends and family. Tell you what, I’ll save you an extra click or two: Watch the full episode. The entire video is just under 1 hour and is I.M.H.O. a must see. I am attempting to purchase (the easy part) this video and then air it on my local community t.v. channel. Did you know that as long as it isn’t copywrited, or if you have permission from the owner that you can bring videos to your local community t.v. (not PBS, mine’s at Greenfield Community Colege) that they are obliged to air it a few times for you? That’s a great way to expose the masses to this kind of info. We don’t need the FDA. Log in to Reply Leave a Reply Cancel Reply You must be logged in to post a comment.
