Grace Slick And Marijuana Law Reform

Being born in 1979, I completely missed the hippie experience. By the time my first memory rolls around, hippies had cut their hair, gotten jobs and were doing aerobics. But I’ve come to appreciate many aspects of the hippie culture, and none more so than the music.
Perhaps my favorite song from the hippie era is Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit. Less than 3 minutes long, it perfectly embodies the spirit of the time in music and lyrics.
The woman behind the haunting vocals of White Rabbit is Grace Slick. She can be seen in the videos below discussing the song, her art, and marijuana law reform. As a bonus I’ve also posted the video for White Rabbit for those who have never heard it, and for those who just want to hear it again.
