Meanwhile, In Michigan, The First Amendment Is Now Suspended

Even after over 40 years of hearing bullshit about marijuana from politicians and other alleged “leaders”, I can still be amazed. Here’s what amazed me tonight, and it has possibly more irony than a shelf of Catch-22s.
A lawyer wanted to give a seminar on 4/20 in Michigan about how medical marijuana patients and their caregivers could safely stay within the guidelines of Michigan state law and remain legal. The local township threatened her, saying — are you ready? — that merely talking about “how to be legal” was illegal, and that she couldn’t give a seminar without a zoning permit, and by the way they won’t issue one to her.
That’s right. Highland Township in Michigan won’t allow a lawyer to talk to people, because they don’t want no stinkin’ dispensaries in their town, and they don’t want nobody even talkin’ about that killer devil weed neither.
Here’s how to reach the lady in charge of Highland Township. Personally, I won’t call or write because I’m afraid I might say something that would get me arrested. But if you have a stronger stomach, and especially if you happen to live in Michigan, please talk to these people. They must have a few brain cells between them. Right?
