Medical Marijuana Dispensary Raids In Santa Clara County, CA

Several medical marijuana dispensaries in Santa Clara County, California were raided Thursday by county narcotics agents. Two MediLeaf medical cannabis clubs in San Jose were raided, among other properties.
Task force commander Danielle Ayers says agents shut down the clubs, seized marijuana, documents and computers.
According to reports, there have been several dispensary operators arrested since medical marijuana expansion kicked in about a year ago, but none have faced criminal charges.
So what’s the point? Just to seize records, then eventually let the operators go? Don’t get me wrong, the fact that none have faced criminal charges yet is a good thing, but it has to make you wonder: why all the arrests and raids?
Is it bad police work, or something more?
