CA Prop 19 Holds 47-43% Lead

In the latest public opinion poll about CA Proposition 19 the measure holds a slight lead, 47 percent to 43 percent. This is a slight drop in support since the same organization did a poll on Prop 19 three weeks ago.
So what does this mean? Basically – as we’ve known all along – the vote is going to be close. Every vote is going to be critical. If you live in California and are not registered to vote, it’s imperative that you do so. Everyone who favors Prop 19 needs to get to the polls on November 2nd and vote.
Early voting begins on October 4th. If there is some doubt about your ability to get to a polling place on election day, you should definitely look into this as an option. This is the beginning of something monumental in this country; an opportunity unsurpassed in our movement’s history. If we fail, it might be a long time before we get another chance. We cannot fail.

Perhaps the most loathsome aspect of this debate is the opposition by those large commercial exploiter growers, cartels, the ones that you see comment right here “compassionate” medical growers who charge $3,500 – $4,500 a pound wholesale and profit immensely from prohibition, as they have allied themselves with the most cynical and exploitative members of the prohibitionist regime: the cops and the prison industry. All have vested interests to contribute big money to the no campaign, which is tragic and unfortunate. That an elder statesman like Dennis Peron is lending false testimony to this campaign against the greatest anti-prohibition initiative put to voters in US history is a sad state of affairs.
The real issue here is the fear these commercial exploiter growers have that their market will utterly dry up. At $12.50 an ounce for your own homegrown, who will pay their rip-off prices anymore? Almost no one, and this has them rightly panicked. Well, I say screw any greedy growers whose love of money is greater than their love of marijuana, and you should too by voting for THE CONTROL & TAX CANNABIS INITIATIVE this November
Nothing is free.

with all those large backers why are the numbers slipping a little?i vote yes19, do you think we have a real chance?b/c this needs to pass. i live in ky,i wish i could help some how.
Nonsense arguements!!!
None of that matters. right now the penalty is worse than it will be under prop 19. If you have no good medical reason LIKE MOST PEOPLE ..
you are a plant for our opponents..
YES ON 19 . DONT LISTEN TO THE LIARS.
TaxMan you are spewing BS. None of that is true. Nothing in 19 even says anything about home grow permits being required. You can still get your medical recommendation under Prop 215 and be exempt to 19′s laws.
what poll? pretty in depth journalism you got here (a recent poll) a poll by you? a poll of three guys standing outside? a poll of your imaginary friends? and you take a side and urge people to vote for prop 19? so youre a propagandist?
this isnt journalism this is a diary entry of a naive young girl.
get some facts, support your statements with depth and if you want to call yourself a journalist? dont take a side.
Im sorry you have been misled to believe you are a journalist, you are not.
To Stan, the poll is what is linked. I understand you might have missed the link in your rush to spew your comment, but next time look closer, thanks.

The poll was conducted by SurveyUSA. It had 563 respondents.
As for taking sides, I am for Prop 19 and have never said otherwise. I am a blogger, taking sides is what I do. I am for marijuana legalization, plain and simple.
please vote, then make sure the votes are coun ted correctly. our government does not want it legal and they have cheated on elections before.
[...] According to just about every poll taken on the measure, CA Proposition 19 has voters of California split down the middle – although the yes side does enjoy a slim lead in most polls. [...]
