August 17, 2010 — According to a recent survey, 50 percent of Californians have noted that they will vote “yes” on Prop. 19.

A majority of Californians continue to voice their support for Prop. 19 — which would eliminate penalties for the private possession and use of marijuana by adults, and allow local governments to regulate retail cannabis production and sales.

Anyone who Votes “YES” is stupid. The city of Rancho Cordova is already trying to pass a “Personal Consumption Tax”. $600.00 per square foot indoors. $900.00 per sq. ft. anything bigger. Propisition 19 gives the city you live in the power to pass this tax or similar. So, instead of paying all the taxes, you decide to buy that $100.00 ounce you thought you would find at the Dispensary. Guesss what. It’s $400.00. Why ? Because it cost $175.00 an ounce to produce at the Factory. You think you’ll get it at cost ? No. Legalize and Decriminalize…This Proposition DOES NOT do this. 2012 their will be one that does. Don’t be stupid California. There are so many things wrong with this, it’s crazy…
Shannon, that is nonsense. You can grow tomatoes at home too, but Von’s still sells them cheaper. Furthermore, not everyone can grow stinky dank. Most people will buy from professional growers. This means new jobs and a new industry.
Your alternative of not passing proposition 19 is keeping the status quo–drug cartels, incarceration for non- violent offenders, and a $100 million dollar industry filtered south of the border and going untaxed.
