Bill In Michigan Seeks Ban On Medical Marijuana Clubs

A new bill in the Michigan Legislature seeks to ban medical marijuana clubs in the state. The bill’s sponsor – Republican Rick Jones – says medical marijuana clubs encourage people to get high and drive.
Let’s forget for a moment the studies that say marijuana does not inhibit driving ability or cause increased roadway accidents. How can this man be serious. I’ve never been to Michigan, but where I live we have a drug store, liquor store, or bar on every block. All encourage patrons to come get some alcohol or prescription drugs, then hop back in their cars and drive away.
Marijuana club owners said there’s nothing prohibiting them from operating, and they provide an important service.
The sad fact is that many politicians only see certain “drugs” as providing important services. The safest of them all – cannabis – doesn’t seem to make the list a lot of the time.
If you live in Michigan, contact your local representative and state your opposition to Rep. Jones’ bill. Change happens at the local level, but only if we make our voices heard.

Reefer Madness is a mental condition that seems to have infected the minds of many of Michigan’s nanny politicians. It manifests itself with irrational outbursts of stupidity, knee jerk reactions and the complete absence of reasoning. There is no known cure for reefer madness except to excise the infected politician’s lips from the public teat. Forced political rehibilitation has not been proven to be effective.
Nowhere is there more evidence of the dumbing down of americans than in this drug war against us.
So when are they going to close down and ban all bars? If “medical marijuana clubs encourage people to get high and drive.”
Then bars(clubs) encourage people to get Drunk and Drive. What a joke of a bill it need to stopped and not allowed to even be voted for.
