Dec. 3, 2009 — A billboard company in Anaheim has taken down multiple advertisements of a medical marijuana dispensary, perhaps revealing the strong social stigma against marijuana that still exists today.

ANAHEIM A billboard located within a block of Dale Junior High promoting a network of medical marijuana dispensaries will be removed, officials with a billboard company said today.
It’s the second time in three weeks officials with Lamar Advertising have announced plans to remove billboards near schools promoting MediCann, a San Francisco-based network of clinics aimed at providing marijuana to patients suffering from chronic illnesses.
